Day 01
AIRPORT PICK-UP / KINGDOM OF KURUNEGALA

AYUBOWAN-! Welcome to Sri Lanka, the land like no other and 14 days of explorations giving you the opportunity to touch the Unesco World Heritage sites and unique Sri Lankan culture, the lush green tea estates and waterfalls in the hills, the wildlife and exciting adventures, the beautiful soft sandy and remote beaches. The first destination will be the Royal Kingdom of Kurunegala. Along the way through lush green rice paddy fields and coconut plantations, don’t forget to stop at a roadside stall to try out some king coconut water. Kurunegala is one of the greatest and oldest civilizations in the world. Built around a granite rock, the remnants of this city show where one of the ancient capitals of medieval Sri Lanka once was. Day 02
KURUNEGALA FOREST MONASTERY / YAPAHUWA FORTRESS

After enjoying a delicious breakfast with a hot cup of Sri Lankan tea or a coffee, you will take a wonderful journey across the stunning Sri Lankan countryside towards Arankalaya Forest Monastery. If you are looking for a calm and peaceful location, this is your ideal destination. However, this place was not a pleasure park in the past. On the contrary, it was the site of an ancient forest monastery where recluse monks lived. Today it is a celebrated archaeological site containing the ruins of this ancient forest monastery. The monks who lived here were called Pansukulika. This word means ‘rag-robes’ and refers to a vow taken by these monks to wear only robes made from rags. They observed extreme austerity, they lived in caves and in monasteries in mountains and forests and their piety and austere way of life were greatly admired by everyone. Thereafter, visit Yapahuwa, one of the greatest and oldest civilizations in the world. Overnight stay in Kurunegala.

Day 03
SIGIRIYA ROCK FORTRESS / VILLAGE TOUR

After having a delicious breakfast, you will take a wonderful journey across the stunning Sri Lankan countryside towards Dambulla city, which is the central point of the cultural triangle in the island. Upon arrival at Dambulla, you'll enjoy a wonderful cultural village tour while exploring the beautiful countryside (INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE). It will start with a Bullock Cart ride, one of the most ancient and prime transportation systems in Sri Lanka, still used in some villages. While on the tour you will also enjoy a canoeing Boat ride across the lake and TukTuk ride before reaching the farmer’s house where you will experience the typical Sri Lankan countryside hospitality.

Thereafter, you will visit the famous Sigiriya Lion Rock Fortress (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE), where you may capture the beautiful scenery of sun setting. King Kasyapa (477 – 495 BC) built his palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colorful frescoes. Sigiriya refuses to reveal its secrets easily; in fact you have to climb a series of vertiginous staircases to reach the top. On the way you’ll pass quite remarkable frescoes and a pair of colossal lion paws carved into the bedrock. Overnight stay in a nature-friendly resort - Habarana.

Day 04
PIDURANGALA ROCK HIKE / KANDY CITY WALK

Early in the morning, climb Pidurangala rock to capture the morning sunrise. Afterwards, enjoy breakfast at the hotel and set of to Kandy. En route, visit the Golden Buddha Statue, the Royal Cave Temple (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE), and Matale Spice Garden. Then, proceed towards Kandy city, the capital of the last Sinhalese kingdom. It's set on a plateau surrounded by mountains, which are home to tea plantations and bio diverse rainforests. Kandy is also famous for its sacred Buddhist sites, including the Temple of the Tooth Relic (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE). Thereafter, you’ll enjoy a walk around Kandy's busy city centre, including a tour of the Central Market, before engaging with a cultural dance show which is inspired by Sri Lankan arts, traditional dance and cultural heritage (INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE). Day 05-06
HEELOYA VILLAGE CULTURAL EXPERIENCE

Get a feel of the life in a typical village in addition to trekking and sightseeing and a culinary experience in true Sri Lankan style at Heeloya. It is a rural, remote agricultural village in Kandy district. Paddy cultivation, home gardening, livestock, spice plantations, toddy tapping, handicrafts, bee-keeping are some of the attractions in this village experience. Enjoy a local cookery demonstration. Learn how all parts of the tree play an important part in daily life, sip the water of a king coconut, watch ‘toddy tappers’ extract the palm wine from the coconut sap and taste the results. Traditional Sri Lankan food is very peculiar and world-famous, but cooking it yourself adds yet another dimension to the experience. Day 07
HILL COUNTRY TEA PLANTATIONS

After early breakfast, you’ll enjoy a wonderful journey through the lush green tea plantations, the scenic view of the mountains and the waterfalls towards the tea region of Nuwara Eliya. It is often referred to as “Little England” because many of the buildings in this city retain from the British colonial period, such as the Queen's Cottage, the General's House, the Grand Hotel, the Hill Club and the Town Post Office. Since this amazing town is located in the mountains, it is characterized by a cool climate all year long. Visit a tea plantation. Sri Lankan tea and tourism are words which cannot be separated. Explore the cold and misty hills that host lush green blankets of tea plantations. You also have the opportunity to visit a tea factory processing the prestigious brand of Ceylon Tea, to observe a rich tradition kept alive up to date. Day 08
SPECTACULAR TRAIN JOURNEY

In the morning, you will enjoy a spectacular train journey from Hatton station to Ella village. It is known as one of the most picturesque hill country train journeys in the world. Ella is everyone’s favorite hill country village due to the fact that it’s a wonderful nature-friendly location. Another amazing spot is the Nine Arch Bridge, a massive bridge built entirely of solid rocks, bricks, and cement without using a single piece of steel. Ella is a great place for walking and climbing and its most famous hiking route is to “Little Adam’s Peak”. In the evening, you could chill out at the village center where there are lots of restaurants, pubs and also evening entertainments. Day 09
UDAWALAWE NATIONAL PARK

In the morning, visit Ravana waterfall, one of the most popular sightseeing attractions in Ella. Thereafter, you’ll be heading to Udawalawe National Park, the best place in Asia to see herds of Asian elephants. Udawalawe National Park is situated in the middle of Sri Lankan dry-zone and it couldn't have been located in a better setting. The Park was set up in the year 1972 to protect the catchment area of the man-made rainwater reservoir located at the south end of the River Walwe. At the same time, the reserve was designated to provide sanctuary to wild Elephants. Overnight stay in a safari lodge - Udawalawe.

Day 10-11
SINHARAJA RAIN FOREST

In the morning depart towards the Sinharaja forest, one of the finest natural rain forests in the world, named as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s probably one of the oldest living ecosystems, a place that certainly deserves a visit and a place that promises to lives up to its expectations.

This incredibly beautiful place is home to a vast number of animals such as sambar deer’s, wild boars, barking deer, squirrels, monkeys, porcupines, the rare leopard and many other mammals. Also, a fascinating birdlife including 160 species can be found here. Overnight stay in a nature friendly resort / Deniyaya.

Day 12
SOUTH COAST / BEACH RELAX

After an amazing journey through the mountains and waterfalls, you have finally arrived at the world-famous beachside of Sri Lanka. In the morning, you will head towards Thalpe beach where you will be enjoying a couple of relaxing days at the beach. Take a deep breath and feel the peace and calm atmosphere in gorgeous Thalpe. The aim of today is to do as little or as much as you want. Yoga is an option, or you could just snooze under a palm tree whilst soaking in one of the best kept secret beaches of the south. Overnight stay in a beach resort – Thalpe.

Day 13
GALLE / TALPE BEACH

After breakfast, your tour leader will drive you along the southwest coast towards Galle, a city well known for its Fort (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE). It is the intersection where classic Dutch and British architecture meets a tropical setting, creating a vivid atmosphere in beauty. Walk through the streets listening to the creaks of wooden saloon doors and observe how European architecture mingles with South Asian traditions nowadays flooding cultural enthusiasts on a global scale. Historical Galle Lighthouse stands proudly on the southeast tip of the fort. Thereafter, you’ll visit a turtle hatchery center before heading back to your beach resort. Both locals and international volunteers are battling for the protection of sea turtles since they are endangered creatures. This vibrant tourist destination, apart from its traditional fishery industries and cinnamon cultivations, was later recognized by the Wildlife Protection Society which studded the region with a Sea Turtle Conservation Project that operates on a formidable scale. Day 14
COLOMBO CITY TOUR / AIRPORT DROP-OFF

After breakfast, you’ll visit the capital city of Colombo, which has an interesting history running back to the fifth century. Even in ancient times, this was an important port city in the East-West sea trade. Nowadays it has become a bustling modern town with a unique atmosphere. The colourful streets, restaurants and modern shopping malls attract hordes of locals and tourists alike. In Colombo, you have the opportunity to visit the most highlighted places in the city and also do some last-minute shopping as well. Perhaps, you may intend to pop into a famous and internationally renowned restaurant in Colombo to end your trip over an unforgettable meal. Thereafter, proceed to the airport in time for the return flight or we drop you back to your hotel in Colombo or Negombo to end this wonderful tour across the island.

Our easy payment plan! Just confirm the tour with USD 100 deposit and then settle the balance payment only 15 days prior to the arrival date (payment method negotiable).

Child Policy:

Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellations received earlier than 12 days prior to the departure date are fully refundable.
  • Cancellations received 12 days or less prior to the departure date: 50% from the payment or postpone tour with travel credits.
  • Cancellations received 07 days or less prior to the beginning of the tour are non-refundable, but the tour can be postponed to a later date.

Important Note:

  • Most entrance and activity fees are paid in local currency. We suggest you keep some Sri Lankan rupees with you while on the tour. You can exchange money at the airport or the tour leader can assist you to exchange money at local banks.
  • Religious places have a strict protocol when it comes to clothes and people should cover themselves up. However, usually you can wear almost anything that goes with the warm climate.
  • In tropical countries the weather is always unpredictable, so it will be handy to bring a rain jacket.
  • Sun protection, mosquito repellent, sunglasses and a hat can be very useful during your tour.
  • The official check-in time at all hotels will be at 02:00 pm.
  • The official check-out time at all hotels will be at 11:00am.

Climate And Average Temperatures:

Sri Lanka is a year-around holiday destination with two monsoon seasons, so there is a lot of confusion about when it is the best time to visit. The weather doesn’t run like clockwork here! The temperature is constantly around 27°C on the coast, while on the hill side it always stays below 20°C.
